Getting beyond negative notions of Lent as largely a time for giving things up. 

This workshop will focus on the positive aspects of the season as a preparation for Easter and an opportunity to grow in spiritual understanding of what it means to be a Christian.

Though these canticles are greatly loved in the Anglican tradition, one rarely hears much about their original context.

In this workshop we will trace them back to their origins in the Gospel according to Luke, and listen to their echoes throughout 2,000 years of Christian life and worship.
